During devotions today, God shared His truth and reminded me and answered me…Wait on the Lord. Usually God just speaks A truth. This morning the SAME TRUTH came 3 times…from 3 different devotionals. HE WAS SO SPEAKING. And can I say, I SO LOVE WHEN HE DOES THAT!
He reminded me, through my Daily Bread that Joseph had to wait on Him. Joseph NEVER would have selected his circumstances either. GOD PROMOTED JOSEPH. Not by a method chosen by Joseph. He was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and thrown in jail, under false charges mind you! God blessed him and prosper him right where he was. It was in those very places and circumstances that God developed him and taught him and BLESSED him. When the promotion came, IT WAS HUGE.
Through 2 more devotionals from my hubby’s on-line devotions, God revealed a truth…when the WAITING on Him is OVER, what occurs is totally UNEXPECTED and UNDESERVED!!!! This word so thrilled my heart! The outcome and the waiting becomes INSIGNIFICANT. Isn’t this GREAT news? I know my heart smiled!
“For since the world began, no ear has heard, and no eye has seen a God like you who works for those who wait for Him.” Isaiah 64:4
“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
Dear ones, you are right where you need to be. Keep trusting in the Lord. Trust those closed hard massive doors. Trust in the silence. Trust in the not knowing. Trust that ALL of the prayers of your heart have been heard and are indeed in God’s giant loving hands. Rest in the Lord. Stop trying to jump ship (from a gal who has tried on numerous occasion, and yes, even in THIS season of my life…as in jump ship to pursue what I believe my heart and my life needed, but God knows better, thank goodness). It may not seem like things are going to work out. Your prayers may not seem like they are being heard. Your season may seem like it is never going to end. The waiting seems like it is going to be the end of you. Rest assured, it will not be the end of you, UNLESS, you give up and unless, your attempts to jump ship succeed. We surely do not want to be anywhere by our own doing. I have learned circumstances do not really work out in the best way. Oh they work out actually, but in pain.
I receive God’s truth, His Word, and His reminder today. I will WAIT ON THE LORD. I do believe that when the waiting period comes to its end, the results, the outcome, WILL BE AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, MIRACULOUS, and totally UNEXPECTED and UNDESERVED! This is so God’s way though, isn’t it? I am sure most of us can attest to certain points in our lives where HE SHOWED UP BIG. The wait is always worth it. Yes, I am all for UNEXPECTED and UNDESERVED.
